Lipolytic Injections

Don’t you wish you could destroy those fat cells permanently? *

Like Mesotherapy, Lipolysis is used to dissolve fat. The main difference is that Lipolysis targets deeper layers of the skin. Where mesotherapy improves the surface of the skin, Lipolysis dissolves small to medium unwanted localized areas of fat (stubborn fat) that diet or exercise sometimes miss.*

An active substance, naturally found in the body, is injected directly into the subcutaneous tissue. Local fat deposits are destroyed, allowing the fat stores to be released. The main role of Phosphatidylcholine (PPC) is to help emulsify and break down fat and cholesterol.*

The number of sessions needed differs from one person to the next due to individual responses to the medication and the type of fat being treated. Soft stubborn fat is easier to treat than fibrous fat. During the consultation, you will be informed as to how many sessions you will need to achieve your desired result. Results can be expected after 2-3 treatments.*

  • Slight burning sensation during the injection is expected. An anaesthetic cream can be applied to ease the discomfort *
  • You can return to your normal daily activities depending on the amount of soreness you experience and the type of work you do
  • A Lipolysis treatment session takes between 45 minutes to 1 hour *
  • Keep hydrated and drink plenty of water
  • Massage the area every night for 2 weeks
  • Lipolysis results are permanent if you keep a healthy diet and get regular exercise *

Lipolysis procedure is mild compared to most cosmetic treatments, and so far there have been no reports of severe adverse complications. * However, patients usually experience:

  • Soreness, bruising, and mild swelling for about a week *
  • Small lumps that are painless, invisible and transient *

If you are any of the following, you must not be treated with Lipolysis:

  • Pregnant women and breastfeeding moms
  • Diabetics
  • Patients with cardiovascular diseases
  • Patients with certain allergies
  • Patients who currently have or used to have malignant disorders
  • Patients with blood disorders
  • Patients with kidney diseases

Lipolytic injections, also popularly known as fat dissolving injections, is a non-surgical injection therapy that reduces or eliminates unwanted local accumulations of fat.  It is not a method of weight loss but rather a treatment for body sculpting or contouring. Many people have a healthy lifestyle and exercise regularly but have soft fat in areas that are impossible to target, i.e. the neck area under the chin, inner thighs or love handles.

The injected active agent in Network Lypolysis, is phosphatidylcholine (PPC), a lecithin product produced by soybeans. Phosphatidylcholine is found in every cell of the human body (cell membranes) and is produced by the body itself. This substance causes the fat cell walls to dissolve; the fat is then eliminated by the body’s metabolic process. By reducing the number of fat cells in the area, the amount of fat stored in the area is reduced. PPC is a safe substance that has been used therapeutically for over 15 years, with more than 60,000 documented treatments.

Network Lypolysis Therapy is indicated for the treatment of – Jowls, Double Chin, Cheek, Nasolabial Fold, Axillary (Armpit) Folds, Upper arms, Back Rolls, Iliac Crest (Hip), Love Handles, Upper and Lower Stomach, Buttocks, Inner and Outer Thighs, Above and Inner Knee, Male Gynaecomastia (Breasts), Pubic Region, Cellulite and treatment of Lipomas.

Generally, 2-4 treatments are necessary at intervals of 8 weeks in order to successfully complete the therapy. Over 80% of patients are extremely satisfied with the results after 2 to 3 treatments. Results are not immediate but are evident after approximately 10 weeks.

The therapy is not intended as a means of weight reduction but is a way of reducing unwanted localised deposits of fat. Injection lipolysis achieves a permanent reduction in fat deposits, especially in those places that cannot be specifically targeted by dieting or sport.

According to the current state of knowledge, fat cells that have once been dissolved do not return. This means that the fat deposits concerned are permanently reduced. Provided your weight remains unchanged, the results of the lipolysis treatment should also remain constant.
